Members of The Kiwi Bottle Drive came to Parliament to make a submission on their petition to my Environment Select Committee this morning.
KBD had received 15k signatures in support of a container deposit scheme that would see upwards of 90% of our drink containers recycled.
I remember as a kid taking our bottles down to Northcross Liquorland to be recycled in a similar scheme. It’s a great idea, it’s National Party policy and this Government should introduce the scheme.
